The MECPTA has several fundraising events throughout the year. The money that is raised helps fund the DEG Scholarships that are awarded to Medina County families that are in need each year to offset the cost of preschool tuition.
The DEG scholarship was created in honor of past member Diane E. Gunther who lost her battle to breast cancer. We also use portions of the money to provide low cost events and activities such as those mentioned in the Adult and Children's activities sections.
Below is a list of some of our annual fundraising events:
Kidz Klozet Sale
The MECPTA and the Medina Recreation Center have paired up to make our Kids Sales in the Fall and Spring even better than before. Both of these sales take place at the Medina Recreation Center Field House and are advertised a few months before the event (October and April).
A 10 x 10 space is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Tables can be rented for $8.00. The event takes place from 9:00 to 12:00 with admission costing $5.00-for early bird admission, $1 after.

Buehler's Hot Dog Sale
For less than $2.00 you can enjoy a convenient lunch and support the MECPTA at the same time when our members put on our cooking hats to sell hot dogs, chips, and pop at the entrance of Buehlers RiverStyx and Buehlers Forest Meadows during the summer months.

Barnes and Noble Sale
Join us as we pair up with Barnes and Noble to earn a little cash while our members, friends, and families get to shop. Basically all we have to do is shop on the specified date and we receive a percentage of the profits.
We also work with the manager to provide story time and various activities for the little ones while they are in the store shopping with mom or dad.
